Description
A one year fellowship with combined diagnostic training and research opportunities in the pathology of female genital tract disease and reproduction. New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell Campus accessions approximately 7,500 gynecologic/obstetric specimens per year that are handled separately through the Divisions of Gynecologic and Perinatal Pathology. Clinical responsibilities include staff sign-out of both frozen section and surgical pathology specimens. Clinical opportunities are also available in gynecologic cytology and perinatal pathology. The fellow is expected to participate in the teaching and supervision of pathology and gynecology residents, as well as to actively participate in departmental conferences. Research opportunities include clinicopathologic and molecular pathology studies with members of the department. Current research applications include immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, image analysis, and a variety of cytogenetic and molecular techniques.

Requirements
M.D., degree or equivalent with at least two years of approved training in anatomic pathology. The program qualifies for the fourth or fifth year of training.
Stipends
